Despatch & Delivery of Your Buildtradeshop Order
To avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend you wait until all items have been delivered before arranging installation. We can not be held responsible for any delays or costs incurred due to late delivery by our courier partners.
All delivery prices are calculated in your basket. To get a clear view of the charge, add all the products you want to order to your basket, select the desired delivery option and delivery zone. You will not have to add your payment details to do this.
Delivery Options & Prices
We hold a large amount of stock in our warehouse and receive new deliveries daily, so we will do our utmost to get your order delivered to you as quickly as possible. Other products that we order from the manufacturers have a longer lead time. Expected lead times can be found on a product's page.
Some products are particularly large and bulky so it may not be possible to deliver them to some locations, such as high-rise properties. If there are any obstacles to deliverying your order to your door, please mention it in the comments box during check out.
Whilst we pride ourselves in meeting our delivery promises, we rely on third party couriers to get your order to you so occassionally there are delays for reasons beyond our control. If this happens we will do our best to advise you.

• For most products, the order must be received by 2pm otherwise it will be delivered the following working day
• Roof Domes and Sun Tunnels (350mm, 450mm and 550mm) must be ordered by 12-noon
The cost of next day delivery is calculated in the shopping basket. Add the products you wish to purchase, select the delivery option and delivery zone to get the delivery price.
The delivery charge will be refunded if we cannot deliver as promised. For urgent requirements, please call us on 01455 208241 to check next day availability

• Order value up to £249.99 - the standard delivery charge + £20 + VAT
• Order value more than £250 - the standard delivery charge + £100 plus VAT
Delivery to the Scottish Isles
Our couriers will deliver to your nearest port, however, it is up to you to organise your own courier to take the order the rest of the journey
Despatch of your order
Our customer service team will allocate a space for your order with our delivery partners to ensure it arrives in good condition and on time. You will receive an email on the day your order is sent with details. Normal delivery times are between 9am and 5pm. If you need more information about the delivery time, please contact the delivery company mentioned in the despatch email.
We hold thousands of products in stock, which helps us process your order faster. Items sold from our stock are sold subject to them still being available when your order is received.
Delivery of your order
We will despatch products to your home, site or third party at your request but please note orders sent to a third party or site are despatched at your risk. Larger orders are sent on a pallet and are normally delivered on a rigid vehicle with a tail lift. This usually means your order will be dropped on your driveway or on the kerbside.
What to do if you cannot be there to accept delivery
Please make sure you are free to accept delivery on the agreed date. If you are unable to be there yourself, please contact us at least 48 hours before your delivery is due to take place so we can arrange another delivery on a day that suits you.
Otherwise, you can send us instructions to deliver the goods in your absence to firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, leave a detailed written note at your address, with your signature, that the driver can take with him. If no one is present to accept delivery and you have not left written instructions, the order will not be delivered.
If you are not present to sign for your order and have not made alternative arrangements, you will incur a missed delivery charge.
Accepting your delivery
To make sure you are not disappointed when you unpack your order after signing for it, we advise you to check the goods thoroughly before signing for them. Read our returns policy and find what to do if your product has a fault.
Do not accept damaged products. Orders signed for “unchecked” will be deemed to have been received in good condition.
We work with third parties to deliver products to you, so we accept no responsibility for damage to any parts by a third party.
The legal bit:
Once the order have been delivered to your home/site, the risk of any damage to or loss of the items passes on to you. You will only own the products once they have been successfully delivered and when we have received cleared payment in full. After this point we will no longer be liable for their loss or condition
Unfortunately, despite our best attempts, accidents can happen. If the you receive damaged items, sign the delivery note as damaged and contact us as soon as possible.
If after signing for your order you later find there is damage, you have 14 days from delivery to tell us, after which no exchange can be made. If you left instructions for the order to be left in your absence, tell us of any damages within 24 hours of delivery.
Photographs will help us ensure a speedy change of product. Please send them to email@example.com with information about your order and the damage. We will follow up with you as soon as possible.
